Photography Talks & Events
Talks are also possible on her amazing encounters with white sharks, humpback whales and whale sharks underwater and these are accompanied by breathtaking underwater video footage to help raise money for Sea Shepherd, Biteback, The Shark Trust, The Scuba Trust, the RNLI or any other charity you would like to help. She achieved her Licentiateship with the Royal Photographic Society in 2008 with a selection of underwater photographs taken with both an SLR and Compact Camera underwater and both her and her guests are multi-award winning photographers in international and national competitions.

Maria came to New Scotland Yard where she used to work and gave a talk to the Met Police Photographic Society on 8th Jan. She was by far one of our most popular speakers with a relaxed, friendly style of presentation. Marias enthusiasm for her photography was infectious and she told the Society how she got involved in underwater photography and brought along lots of examples of her work. What the audience liked most was the way Maria explained how she got stunning results from basic equipment. 28 and 29th January - Diveworld Sheffield and SDS Opening Event January 2012 at 66-70 Station Road, Halfway, Sheffield S20 3GW. Everyone welcome! Maria has given many inspirational and motivational talks over the years to show you how to take great photographs with a simple compact camera underwater with no technical jargon. She helped to launch Mexico's first ever dive show in Cozumel in 2004 and has given talks for the Metropolitan Police, the Deep Aquarium in Hull & Sealife Centres launching campaigns with the late Peter Benchley (author of "Jaws" and passionate marine conservationist), Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott, schools and many more photographic clubs and societies. She has regularly given talks at the UK Dive Shows and also at BSAC's DIVERSE Conference.
