Daniel Norwood

Daniel Norwood

Daniel has done amazingly well with his Fuji F50D, INON Fisheye Lens, Macro Lens & Sea & Sea’s YS-110 strobe set-up.  After doing a one day course with me, he went on to win Sport Diver’s Photo of the Month and the British Society of Underwater Photographer’s Best Beginner in 2009 beating the runner-up with an SLR system by 27 points.  Since then Daniel has gone on to be published in Asian Diver Magazine this year as well as contributing to DivePhotoGuide.

david martin

David Martin

David has achieved amazing success this year with his Canon S95 and previously with his Olympus 5060.  In February he won both DIVER Magazine and DIVE Magazine’s Photo of the Month and then went on to be a quarter finalist with Maldive’s Scuba Tours Photo of the Month competition.  He is now a contributing journalist to a new dive magazine due to be launched very soon.  Many of the photographs on Maldives Scuba Tours website are Dave’s and his work has also been used by the Aggressor Fleet.

Finally, the ladies are starting to do really well too!  Lin and her husband Steve came on a one day course with me earlier this year with her Canon Ixus and an INON wide angle lens and as soon as she got back from her trip to Egypt, she won Sport Diver’s Photo of the Month in September’s issue.  Well done Lin, I am sure that more success is just around the corner.

Libby Galwaith

Libby Galwaith

Libby came on a week’s photo workshop with me with her trusted Canon Ixus 980, INON fisheye lens and a Sea & Sea YS-110 strobe.  She then went on to win OoonasDiver’s Photo of the Month and has recently won Maldives Scuba Tour’s Photo of the Month too.  Well done Libby!

David is a very keen amateur photographer, so he shoots all year round whether he's in the UK or abroad. His interests include underwater photography (wideangle and macro) but he also likes shooting in photography studios and outdoors.  He uses Olympus cameras exclusively for all his photography, Olympus SP350 (underwater) and Olympus E-5 for everything else.  David's work has been published in various magazines including Olympus User, DSLR User, Photo Pro, Underwater Photography magazine and he won Sport Diver’s Photo of the Month.

My above-water photographs have always been terrible. And I was really worried that I'd come back from this amazing holiday in Cocos with nothing to show for it. But, thanks to everything I learned on your course, and the confidence you gave me, I've got loads of beautiful photographs to show my friends. Being chosen as a finalist newcomer in the BSAC 2008 competition is just the cherry on the cake.

howard sawyer

Howard Sawyer

"Terrified of the water as a child, 'H' learned to dive in 2000. It's fair to say he was not a natural, but persevered in order to have a legitimate excuse to wear neoprene. And a mask.   Initially interested in underwater photography, he lugged a Sea & Sea Motormarine II around, shooting on film.

Limited by his diving ability, photographic ability, and 36 exposures, mercilessly ridiculed by the Swiss, the Dutch, and even the Germans, with their 'Fancy Dan' digital technology, he finally bought a Canon Ixus 950 last year, and went off to see Maria Munn, who taught him how to use it. And gave him chocolates.  He is now a regular contributor to DIVER Magazine.
